Translations of titles suck even worse. Now imagine you see some movie or trailer on TV, in the cinema, or whatever. It looks great, and you try to order the DVD from amazon... just to find out that movie doesn't exist. That may be because German publishers are fucking with the titles. Most of the time it's roughly the same, just trashier. Take, for example, the movie "3:10 to Yuma" - the German title reads "Todeszug nach Yuma", which translates to "Death-Train to Yuma". Worse than the added thrashy-ness of titles, is when they take the original title, and fucking replace it with a different english title. Why would they do that? You may wonder. Well, english is good for marketing. Modern devices all have english names - from t-shirt to computer to internet, we've adapted the english terms. So english has a modern flair to it, which marketing uses heavily. At the same time, a lot of people speak only rather poor school-english - which means they have a limited vocabulary. As a result, some publishers decide to simplify titles: the surfer/skater-flick "Lords of Dogtown" becomes "Dogtown Boys".

Les gouvernements soviétique et américain sont sur les dents: on leur a dérobé des sous-marins nucléaires. C'est à peu de choses près la vie de Shaun, trentenaire britannique sans ambition dont la vie sentimentale n'est guère plus réjouissante. Une invasion de morts-vivants dans sa petite vie de zombie va alors changer la donne... Odile Deray, attachée de presse, vient au Festival de Cannes pour présenter le film "Red is Dead". Mais les projectionnistes du long-métrage en question meurent chacun leur tour dans d'étranges circonstances... En l'an 0, en Galilée, Mandy et son bébé Brian reçoivent la visite des Rois Mages un soir de décembre.
