Amelia al sentirse sola acepta casarse con el jardinero y ocultar a todos que su hija Luisa no es del jardinero. El verdadero padre de Luisa se casa con una mujer adinerada que tiene un hijo adoptivo llamado Carlos. Pasa el tiempo, el jardinero cría a Luisa como su hija tratando de darle lo mejor, por ello Luisa se relaciona con gente de sociedad. Debido a un incidente Luisa es atendida por Carlos, que es medico. De ahí nace un inmenso amor entre ambos, sin conocer lo que paso entre sus padres. En paralelo el poderoso padre de Amelia decide encontrarla para reconciliarse, ya que siente que el tiempo en esta vida se le acaba. This movie isn't very witty, nor particularly clever, and really pretty devoid of intelligence. But it has zaniness, silliness, and charm in spades. I went into it thinking I would hate it. But after the first viewing, I was hooked. My brothers and I watched it frequently. We recited lines. The stupid one liners and affectionately over-forced character tics made their way into our daily conversations. Eventually we could nearly recite the film from memory.
