It is an apt introduction – cruel but everyday, more cheerful than grim – to a film that uses space, architecture, and the way it reflects circumstances and the resulting actions of people as a defining force.

Le colonel, lui, craint pour sa réputation: les résultats du détecteur sèment en effet le doute sur la nature de ses activités pendant l'occupation allemande. La traque de la taupe stimule les tendances paranoïaques de Calot.
