Hey guys, I'm a native English speaker, but I live in Japan and wrote the summaries of Episode Freya and Volume 16 on Danmachi's Wikia Fandom. One user on the fandom once asked me for some advice in learning Japanese on the wikia once and I gave him some tips and just thought that there was probably a lot of other people on here that might want to learn how to study Japanese more efficiently, so I thought I would share the advice I shared with him below. There is two main textbooks that people use when studying Japanese "Genki" and "Minna no Nihongo". Genki is a bit easier to understand for native English speakers, but it only has 2 textbooks in the series and they only cover the most basic level of Japanese. I suggest using Minna no Nihongo. It has 4 textbooks in its series. 2 elementary 初級 level textbooks and 2 intermediate 中級 level textbooks. If you memorize all of the vocabulary and grammar forms in the 2 elementary textbooks you can pass the JLPT N4. If you memorize all of the intermediate level you will be about low to mid N2 level Japanese.
